In 2024, the Virtual Notarial Office, operating under the Saudi Ministry of Justice’s Najiz platform, recorded more than 1.4 million notarial transactions, marking a 60% increase from 2023. The service has streamlined remote access to notarial services, improving efficiency and governance through a unified digital framework.
The most frequently used services included social affairs (over 500,000 transactions), marriage contracts (over 260,000 transactions), real estate transactions (over 220,000 transactions), and powers of attorney and declarations (over 110,000 transactions). The platform enables individuals and businesses to complete notarizations entirely online, eliminating the need for in-person visits to judicial facilities.
To access the service, users must log in via National Single Sign-On (NSSO) on the Najiz platform, select “Notarization Services,” and submit the required form. A specialized notarial team reviews submissions, after which parties authenticate the document via a verification code sent through the Absher system. Once verified, documents are issued securely in digital format.
