Saudi Justice Minister Chairs 76th Arab Judicial Cooperation Meeting in Cairo
Saudi Minister of Justice H.E. Dr. Walid Al-Samaani chaired the 76th meeting of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice, held today at the headquarters of the League of Arab States’ General Secretariat in Cairo.
In his opening remarks, the Minister underscored the importance of further strengthening judicial and legal cooperation among Arab states and closely monitoring the implementation of the Council’s resolutions to enhance its effectiveness and deepen Arab judicial collaboration.
The meeting reviewed progress on the implementation of resolutions adopted at the 41st session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice. It also examined steps taken to activate the Arab Convention on Combating Terrorism and its associated implementation mechanisms.
The Executive Bureau further discussed several draft Arab laws and considered initiatives and proposals submitted by Arab states to promote judicial and legal cooperation, along with other items on its agenda.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Al-Samaani held talks with Sudanese Minister of Justice H.E. Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Darf on matters of mutual interest.
