Saudi families have witnessed a high turnout of female drivers since women were allowed to drive in the kingdom, in parallel with the issuance of thousands of licenses for women, both nationals and expatriates.

According to the General Authority for Statistics, 181 private drivers were brought in from the decision until the end of 2018, while the total number of drivers in the same period amounted to 1.3 million, or 53% of the total domestic labor.

As for domestic workers, they ranged from home managers, drivers, cooks, home farmers, private teachers, tailors, nurses and other professions.

It is noteworthy that the total number of domestic workers in the Kingdom during the said period reached 2,454,742, including 826,895 females and 1,627,847 males.
