Saudi appellate courts issue 1,500 decisions remotely in 5 days
Under the government’s Covid-19 precautions, the Saudi Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has remotely issued over 1,500 appellate decisions in five days, after enabling electronic certification of such decisions.
“The new signing mechanism streamlines procedures and fast-tracks resolutions,” the ministry said.
Earlier, the MoJ enabled judges to sign decisions electronically without having to be present at the ministry’s premises.
Through its Najiz.sa portal and the Unified Communication Center (1950), it also provides many e-services related to courts, enforcement, notarization, mediation, and law practice.
